Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland
Down Under.... Aussie Coast!? No, I took this picture in Dun Laoghair near Dublin, Ireland on a sunday afternoon. I had a lovely walk along the coastline that day and ended up in a nice Irish Pub.
the colours really do look inviting - and the signs are a hoot!

I like how you used the rule of thirds on this one.

@Dysren: Hello Dysren,
Usually I use the grid on my camera's viewer to apply the 'rule of thirds', a great way to balance the image. (Althoug my camera doensn't show other useful information at that moment). I often use the 'wide angle' to align the objects with the grid. If that isn't possible I move around a bit more to get a better position towards the object('s). After the shoot I process the digital photo's in photoshop. As you can see in the Dublin example I used the wide angle. The horizon is OK but the signpole leans a bit to the left. The rule of thirds is not exactly used in this picture because the sailingboat at the far left was to important for the balance of this picture.
Thanks for reviewing my pictures,
Hubert Diemel.
So simple and yet so effective. I think simplicity is one of the harder styles to grip well. Great job!
